Hi LoveBug - I completely understand about nursing school - I'm an RN and I teach nursing too!!! It is very hard and very stressful - what people don't realize is that nurses have to know about everything!!! RN's get a generalist degree and as such, they have to understand pathology and pharmacology for the entire body at every age - that in itself is quite a task. Then they have to learn about psychology, public health, pediatrics, maternity and so forth. It is quite rigorous! When a nurse goes back for his/her master's or doctoral degree, they get to specialize in one area, but that first RN degree is a whole lot of everything!
Good luck - it is definitely worth all the hard work.
