Riley went for his neuter and microchip yesterday and today, it is like nothing ever happened.
He's 6 1/2 months old and weighed in at 6 pounds 2 ounces.
I dropped him off around 8am.... The vet called around 11:45 to tell me he did really well... I went to get him around 4pm. He didn't have to have any baby teeth pulled. He was a little sleepy when I brought him home, but he ate about an hour later and I gave him his pain meds and he was already back to playing shortly after that.
She said he hadn't started licking, but she gave me an e-collar, just in case. I have not had to put it on him, yet....
Now I am just trying to keep him from jumping and running around the apt. which has actually been a little difficult. He has the stitches that dissolve by themselves. I am so relieved it went so well...... I am a little paranoid it is going to ge infected or something so I keep checking his incision. I had a bad experience with a prior dog of mine.
Hopefully it will be Smooth Sailing for the next few days.
