What kind of booties did you use? I tried a designer set one time that my dogs did the same thing with. They had leather soles and heels, and my dogs found them too restrictive, I think.

To get them used to them, start slow. Bring some favored treats and try luring them to the treat. Reward and praise a single step at first. Then gradually up the ante by requiring more steps. The first half-dozen times I tried them on Eddie, we didn't even take a full walk. The breakthrough for him was when I started tossing a favorite toy for him. He'd chase the toy because he loves toys. Pretty soon, he forgot he was wearing booties.
