I love to see all the appreciation for veterans! My husband and I are both veterans. We were active duty stationed in Germany for 5 years. In 2005-2006 we both did a year long deployment to Iraq together. Our unit was coming up for another deployment in early '08, but I had just had my daughter mid '07 and didn't want both us to leave her behind, so I got out of the army to stay home with her while my husband went on and did another 15 month deployment in Iraq. We are both out now and living in Ohio, but we both love and appreciate all the recognition we see fir veterans this time of year!
