I have to go along with what everybody says. You have to have patience and you have to show her extreme love and comfort. I never had a rescue dog but we are thinking about getting one some day. My 2 basset hounds were 4 months old when we got them and they had been kept in a small pen together. When they took them out they fell all over each other because they were cramped up so long. We had to carry them to the car because they were deathly afraid of being outdoors and mind you they were both 25 lbs each. Chloe still has soft tissue issues because she was kept in a small crate 24/7 and never allowed any excersie. So although it wasn't really a rescue, we think we rescued her and her sister. It's taken awhile but now she is a different dog. She loves being outdoors and she's just about as loving as any dog can be.
