I'm sorry Sterling isn't feeling well. It sounds like you really need to take him in to the vet. If he can't keep water down, he'll dehydrate quickly. He may only have a virus, but the vet can determine that and hopefully give him something to settle his tummy. The hacking/coughing episode may be also part of a virus but the vet needs to look into that as well. Please keep us updated on how he's doing.
