Thanks for posting this link. It's fascinating! I really love the other related links too.

I think the stuff about pointing is a little misleading, because pointing is part of a dog's built-in hunting sequence. Roughly speaking: scan, alert, stalk, chase, kill. That's why we can have "pointer" dogs. I think the more interesting part is, why can we point when chimps can't?
