I don't know if any of you had the chance to watch this on Nova. The episode was called "Dogs Decoded" and was a fantastic episode. They talk about research going on regarding the way people and dogs communicate with each other. There is also a fascinating segment on and experiment in Russia to domesticate foxes. One of the things that they didn't expect was that there are actual physical changes that occur in the more domesticated litters versus those in the wild (coloring changes, shortened and curly tails, etc).
If you get a chance I highly recommend you watch it.
