OwnedByJezebel and KJLive, Thanks for the information, I did not know about the bacteria non-issue surrounding S&C's and NV, I will definitely keep it in mind for the future.
For now, after starving himself through a few meals, Niko finally started to eat a few of his kibble. To entice him, a put a few drops of Omega 3 Fish Oil on it and it usually works. After he finishes all or most of it, I give him a spoon of his Wellness Canned which he gobbles up feverishly, and then he gets his dental chews. If he does not eat first his dry kibble, then he doesn't get his wet food or his dental chew (he has another antler he always plays with anyway). I think he is starting to get the point since we are being strict!
