What we did was let Shay out in evenings when we were in the living room, as long as we were watching him...start with short periods of time...I would open gate and let him go and at first every 15 min. I would take him to his puppy pad...
I was slow on letting Shay have fun run, all the time...okay painfully slow..lol..after reading a post a couple weeks ago, I decided it was time....so he has fun run as long as I am home...and doing amazing!!!!! Good luck
