My mentor told me that I better get used to wearing red also. As the red tends to show off the Yorkie best. She does however wear her lucky purple suit jacket and has won a major just about every time...superstition I think but whatever works.. If I have to wear a tutu to get a major....  well maybe not.

Not always true on the red. It can throw a reddish cast to your dog's coat. It's very dependent on the dog as to what color is the best back drop for your dog. If you're dog is lighter....you wear darker, if your dog is dark, you wear lighter. You are a backdrop for the dog not the main event.

Nothing worse than seeing someone that is wearing heels in the ring....you get so focused on the heels you forget to look at the dog. Or someone that is so over dressed....you just don't remember the dog.
