I wouldnt suggest giving him more freedom if he hasnt been completely potty trained yet.....do you crate train him at all? that is the best i think to do....I got Fiona when she was 4 months old, and when I first got her she had 2 accidents both on hardwood floors, but I have her trained to go on command......good luck......
