When I started reading this thread, my heart started racing and tears are in my eyes right now. I'm at work, and I thought I was going to explode - I was so mad and upset!!!

And then, you're WONDERFUL update. You are an angel! Tell your husband he too has such a great heart! She is absolutely beautiful, and has some of the most soulful eyes. You have given this special girl something she clearly has never had - tender loving care.

I hope you don't mind, but I'm going to move this thread to the General area. It's so important for people to really see what some humans do to animals - and, what a difference ONE person can make.

This is why rescues like Yorkie Haven Rescue, and other rescues, are so vital - and their work so meaningful. They see this kind of treatment, and WORSE. And, this is how an individual 'rescue', like you did Hugz4all4, can inspire others to help innocent fur kiddos.

You're awesome! Please give this little girl lots of hugs for us!
No I dont mind at all.... I thought it was deleted..lol because I couldnt find. She is truly nothing but skin and bones. I went over again this morning to feed her, give her fresh water and some loving and she layed her head right into my legs as if to say thank you. I started crying again because I really dont know how anyone can treat an animal this way. I have made a appt. for the vets for friday, I explained to them what was going on, I was told in the mean time just to continue to feed her in small amounts and if she shows any signs of illness to call right away. I did find out for sure that she isnt fixed and did have some puppy shots right before they got her, but Im sure she is well over due. The vets did state that if she is truly as emanciated as I said she was that they wouldnt give her any vaccines at all untill she was at a healthy wieght. I looked up her breed and she is a "treeing walker" which is a type of coon hound and she should wiegh between 50 and 70 pounds (depends on what website) and my estimated guess that she wieghs between 20 and 30 pounds if that. When you pet her, you dont feel hair, you feel bones. I texted the nieghbor to let her know that I planned on coming over soon to get her and she told me that I couldnt untill she got home at 430. . So I dont have her at this moment, but I have been over there several times checking on her, petting her.. making sure she knows that it wont be long and she will be in a warm, safe, loving, home.
I really appreciate everyone's support with this. I will keep you all updated as much as I can on her progress.
Oh and her name is Rosie..
