I am so lucky to have found them while planning to get Tallulah. Not realizing how much Yorkies need companionship, I had planned on having them provide daycare until Tallulah got used to being in my home, then taking her perhaps once a week to keep her socialized with other dogs. After seeing how happy she has been there and realizing how hard it is for her to be alone for any length of time, I think she will continue to go while I'm working.
And the bonus is that on the rare occasions that I have to travel without her, she can board and it won't be a strange experience for her. I wish everybody with an only Yorkie who works could have access to this type of arrangement. |
That sounds like a dream! My friend has a neighbor who has the same thing. He is a retired fellow and has 2 dogs of his own. He picks up my friend's yorkie, and another neighbor's dog, and all 4 get walks, fed, and play all day. Wish I had that near me.
I hope the rest of your stay is bearable. I for one couldn't really do it. My brother took care of Kaji for a weekend I went to Vegas with my bf. I texted him several times a day just to check in on my little man. I trust my little bro so I was "relaxed." You should have seen me when the mobile groomer came to pick up Kaji. I WAS A MESS!!!! I almost sent her home because Kaji didn't know or trust her. I have some serious separation anxiety.
