People wanting to meet you half way with a puppy for sale should set off red flags all over the place. Why do they not want you to see where the puppy is raised? She had one ready to go at 9 weeks (as stated by yorkieusa -- too young) and now she has another ready to go in a couple more weeks? How many breeding dams does she have? Are they even her pups? Is she a broker? Or worse a thief? Why is she "not around her pups this week?" You have to really check these people out. If a breeder is doing their job right, there is not way they can break even selling AKC puppies with papers for $350! What about puppy shots? What about a vet check? Was the dam and sire fully tested prior to breeding? Are they to standard? You want to SEE the dam and sire not just hear about them. All yorkie pups look cute but many do not come close to the Yorkie standard and many will not look at all like a yorkie at adulthood because of poor breeding practices. Save yourself some heartache and scratch this one off. A good breeder will ask you a LOT of questions to see if you are good enough to take her puppy. A good breeder will not be meeting you half way with only the puppy and who knows whose papers. A good breeder will have a good health guarantee that will include the option for you to keep the puppy and at least share vet expenses for any genetic problems.
