Evidently there was a third party trying to attack us all through Yorkie Talk by sending a virus -- probably Trojan. My "guess" only a "guess" is that it is some sort of advertising thing, either collecting information from us or trying to direct us to other sites based on our posts and/or browsing practices. I hope that is all it was. Would be horrible if someone was trying to really send one of the dangerous viruses through our Yorkie Talk!!!
My Kaspersky alerted me that this site was under attack. The scan showed it had stopped a virus. So if your Internet Security/Virus protection does show the problem when everyone else notices it, it may well also be protecting your computer from the site. Some software will actually keep you from opening the site at all if it cannot safely quarantine the virus. But if your Internet Security does nto see the problem, then it is probably NOT saving you from the attack. There are some viruses that attack only through particular browsers. But this one seemed to come in through all of the major ones including Internet Explorer that DvlshAngel985 said she changed to. So, if you did not get the attack message, then you might want to either change or update your Internet Security programs.
Hope I explained this right -- insomnia -- been up all night again. |
Thanks for the heads up! I'm so not computer savy. I did get the message once this morning, and now I'm not getting it at all. I went back to using Google Chrome. I hope this gets fixed soon.
