Wood floors: Yes, they are slippery. One thing to check is you pups paws to make sure the hair is completely trimmed between the toes- otherwise it's like wearing fuzzy socks on the floor.
Head bumping: No, they are not more resistant to concussions. It doesn't take much force to result in a head injury. Take the time now to familiarize yourself with the signs of a concussion.
Vet bill: That sounds about right for your area.
Microchip: I paid $50 for ours. Then an additional $20 to register it with the company. It's a pretty big needle, so my vet recommended waiting until they were under anesthesia for their neuter/spay.
Rabies: it's not recommended that they get this until 16 weeks, and then NOT with any other vaccines to minimize the chance of reactions.
