I was in town this weekend and a couple sitting down at a small table had a few dogs. My brother caught my attention by letting me know they were yorkie's. I knew they were fuly grown by there coat coloring. One was as small as my hand. "not kidding" The woman proceeded to try and tell us she was a "teacup" and the smallest in the world.
Yes, I knew she was full of B.S. but this little one was very small , and absolutely precious. She was well groomed with her hair nearly touching the ground with perfect markings. They had anther one a little bigger just as cute . Bt, the woman really set me off. They also had a yorkiepoo . I asked them if they had more , and they said YES. Then asked if they did any breeding. The mother answered No , but the daughter said yes. The husband said nothing . He was feeding them something that looked like potato salad. I noted that , as well as that they all wore little collars on their necks. They looked very cute , but the older woman really got on my nerves . "smalleet yorkie in the world? The food , and her attitude just did not seem right. I just said that I would be so afraid to step on them they were so tiny. As cute as they were I was very grateful that my "big Yorkie" 7Lbs was huge compared to the wee ones.
I hoped that not all yorkie owners with tiny ones had the same type of reaction as they did. I could tell they had a lot of people come talk to them about their babies. Old lady was not telling us anything true about yorkies at all though.
