I purchased a harness too but it was too big, so I have to take it back and get another one. We go camping in the summer and I need to have her on a leash at all times. My other dog. Maltese/papillon mix had no problem with a collar. We go outside with her at all times since she is still small and I am afraid of a big bird/other animal taking her. We do live in a subdivision, but you just never know.
