 Oh my, so sorry to hear that!
When I was diagnosed with breast cancer last year, I noticed the same thing about my little Angel. She seemed to know there was something going on with me, and was right by my side kissing me and loving me even more than usual. There are lots of folks who say that their pets knew even before they did that there was an illness in their bodies.
Take comfort from your furry friend, and from us! Our thoughts are with you, and may your prognosis become the same as mine; all clear, all cured.
