So.....I was at the vet this week with Zoey to check her ear for an infection. The vet came in and also checked her weight ( 11 lbs. ) and checked her teeth and gums. She noticed some plaque build up near the gum line on the top tooth area. And...then began telling me she should have another tooth cleaning done soon and that Zoey should definately get the Dental Vaccine again to help with the teeth issues we have had with her. I was "on the fence" with what to do....and listening to her tell me the Pros vs. Cons. I told her that every time its given to her----she is lethargic for the day and really sore and swollen !! She responded telling me how it will help with the 3 bacteria that she is susceptible to with her teeth. She said it is no different than when we get a FLU shot and have side effects for one day after....but it was worth it in the long run. So.....I went ahead with the vaccine...and she ended up having the side effects for the day. The next day she was fine.
