Zach was scheduled to be neutered on Saturday but yesterday he ate almost a whole dish of cat food that I forgot to put on the counter. Now he has diarrhea. He's acting normal but I called the vet to ask them what I should do and they told me as long as he has diarrhea they can't operate on him. I was all psyched also. I had a screaning done and everything was a go. Now the closest date they can give me is Dec 18th which will make Zach 7 months olld. I really didn't want to wait that long but the vets around here are expensive and the place I bring him to is affordable. I don't know what to do. Should I spend the extra money and get him done sooner or is it safe to wait another month and a half. I know my other dogs were done at over 7 months and they were fine but Zach is such a little shrimp I don't want to put him in danger.
