I hope Betty Boop if feeling better this morning. I replied to your last thread about Betty Boop because we had just gone through the same thing, only a bit more severe with my baby boy. I had to take him in and have him started on an IV because this last time was the third or fourth time we had gone through this with him and it was by far the worst. Anyway, we started out taking everything away from him and slowly adding things back to see what was causing it - including letting him run around the yard. We put him on Hills ID prescription food to start for a couple of days and then reintroduced his regular diet back. He tolerated that fine. Then I reintroduced his treats - natural, grass fed bully sticks...three days later he started the vomiting again. They were too high in fat or something. I took those away and then slowly let him start going outside again and he has done fine with that. I think we have narrowed it down to the treats...any sort of bully sticks, etc. They, for some reason, make him really, really sick. They give him bloody, mucusy poop and blood tinged vomit. It is either IBD or HGE, but whatever it is, I will not give them to him anymore. My vet told me to to reintroduce each thing back to him one by one so I could narrow it down. So far, it has worked. Good luck to you, I know how worrisome this can be! |
