The rescue uses Life's Abundance for all of the fosters. It's a upper/mid range quality food (based on my research), but due to the method of purchasing, the rescue get's a "kick back" which helps to fund additional food, vet checks, surgeries, etc.
Jack was put on the Science Diet W/D, while not a huge fan of Scient Diet products, we do have one that has diabetes and this food is formulated for weight control and diabetic dogs.
Jack isn't diabetic, but the vet indicated that with his weight it would be a good food for him and so far it has really worked well.
