He didnt do a scrape, just said revolution would take care of any mites. She eats really good. I keep her seperate from my other pets. I cant wait til shes better so she can sleep w/ us. I think she would get better faster. She loves to be held-all the time & wants to meet her brother. I have a 2 yr old neutered pom. He loves the clothes Rena makes for him. She is shipping this little girls out friday-cant wait. She needs the extra warmth. She is going to be a itty bitty. I understand if the dog was a rescue & had probs-she's better off in a home, more attention, care , love-she'll heal faster- but this place was unsanitary. She is definately hoarding these dogs. I gave $450 for her in this shape-she wouldnt take any less. I am suppose to get her spayed in 60 days so she will send her aka papers. She said I dont get them if not, even if the vet says no. shes only 1.9 & not skinny, so in 60 days she may be, what...2.5 hopefully, that is scary. I dont want anything to happen to her . So if I cant find a confident vet w/ experience w/spaying this small she can keep the papers. I would like to spay her when she is healthy & at a good weight. Thanks for your prayers & welcomes.

I believe her weight is a reflection of her poor health. With good care she will gain weight drastically after she's rid of those health problems. Brandy had worms once and went from 1.8 to 3.2 in 2 weeks. Normally in a real rescue a dog with the conditions you described would be in foster care with an experienced person until she is healed and evaluated for adoption. I think you will be able to take care of her, she'll need a lot of TLC, understanding, and 1 on 1 time. I there is a fine line between rescue and sell. I believe she sold this dog to you more than anything else.
I really hope you're able to get those papers so you can do some research on her background and how she ended up into this lady's hands. Since you know nothing of this dog's background she could have been abused or from a puppymill. I really hope that you are able to help her along, she might end up with many long term problems since her background is unknown from genetic defects to potty training issues from being crated. I would also recommend calling all of the vets and find a vet more experienced with blue skins.
You are the real rescue and hero here! You rescued this dog from the rescuer. I hope you call animal control on this woman, she is doing nothing for these animals but making them sicker by diseases and prolonging medical care she knows that they need. To deny medical care IS animal abuse! Does the dog even have all of her shots? You are the one doing all of the rescuing, she was probably given that dog for free by an owner who surrendered her due to the costly vet bills because she's unhealthy. Sorry for the rant everyone, I just wonder how long this dog had to suffer before Rachel opened her arms to her!
