| Reaction from Teeth Cleaning
Hi everyone....So this morning Bella went to the vet to get her teeth cleaned. I do the non-anesthesia cleaning bc I do not like to put her under. I dropped her off this morning around 8am and everything was fine. Then I picked her up around 11:30am. It had been about 4 hours since she went out, but I was in such a rush to get home that I did not take her out at the vet. I waited 30 minutes till we got home to take her for a walk. She was crying the whole way home but I thought it was bc she thought there were treats in the bag the vet gave me with her papers. She seemed fine when we went on a walk. Then I fed her and she seemed happy and I went back to school. My sister got home around 1pm and said that Bella would not stop doing this soft cry. Then I got home around 4:30pm and she started to cry even more- it almost sounded like she couldn't breathe which really scared me. She was shaking which was also scary and this along with the crying went on for about 30 minutes and then she threw up twice (yellow with a little bit of white stuff that like like chicken fat). I went back to the vet bc I was so concerned and he looked at her and said everything was fine. She seemed very playful in the vet wanting to see the other dogs and got really excited like usual (I almost felt silly for a minute for bringing her back bc she seemed so normal). I asked him to check her stomach bc it felt like there was liquid in it to me and he said her stomach was fine, and her temp was fine and everything else. He gave her an anti-nausea shot (which made her scream/cry like I have never heard before in my life). Even the vet tech said she had not heard a dog cry like that from the shot in forever. The vet said maybe she was traumatized from the teeth cleaning (but she has had her teeth cleaned by these people before and everything was fine). Then he said maybe she digested some of the teeth cleaning stuff and that the white stuff in her vomit may have been mucus. Now we are back home and she has started the non-stop crying again. It is not full blown crying, it is very soft crying. She is laying next to me with her eyes closed (she seems to be sleeping) but she is still making those noises. She is doing that soft cry thing non-stop. I just do not know what is going on and I am very worried..... Has anyone else ever had an experience like this????
