AKC DNA testing is used to verify parentage in the event that parentage is disputed (that's my understanding). It's not used to prove or disprove whether or not a dog is pure-bred or to locate parents or anything.
I would call the AKC. Because of the death of the breeder, there may be something they can do to help you out - you know the name of the breeder and the birth date of your Yorkie. They could easily locate the litter registration (assuming the litter was registered) and then duplicate your application - and, signatures aren't needed if you register online using the PIN number on the registration application. |
