Poor baby, I agree totally that you need a second opinion, especially when a vet says he thinks surgery but it really isn't needed
Doesn't make much sense to me. If a specialist says it will heal okay then I would leave it at that. I wouldn't go strictly by what a GP vet says. It wasn't a compound fracture as then the bone would have come through the skin. That's a whole new ball game. Good luck and keep us informed. We will be thinking of you and praying they won't be surgery needed.
