I tried both Acana and Orijen. My dogs loved, loved, loved it. However, because of the high protein levels it did not agree with my little guy. He had soft stools when on those foods. Although the kibble size for both the Acana and Orijen are exactly the same, they are larger than the small bites. This however did not stop my little ones from chomping down on it. I think its a very good idea to stay clear of the grains and of course both Acana and Orijen are grain-free. Not so sure that Blue Buffalo is grain free (I'm thinking not). Anyway, I had to order these foods on-line. Our local pet food stores did not carry any of the high premium dog foods. I would have to drive about 45 minutes to get to the one pet food store that did carry them - and I'm in suburbia.
