I brush Taycie's 2twice a day. I used everything under the sun and finally went with a baby tooth brush I think its for 9 to 24 months. Works wonderfully. Taycie does not like it at ALL and she goes to her bed when I pull out the brush but she gets over it quickly.
The biggest thing I noticed to get her used to it was staying consistent. She really hated it in the begining but I hated it more! It was so hard and she would hardly let me put my finger in her mouth let alone a toothbrush. I actually started using a q-tip and then worked up to a toothbrush.
As much as she still hates it now she will sit quitley and let me scrub the heck out of her teeth! I was using chicken flavored toothpaste but she hated it, strange I know. We now use the Oxyfresh Pet system and she tolerates it,lol, but I LOVE it! |
