I have discovered that bigger isn't always better, it seems to be us women that like all the space. I went through the same thing with Belle and she just wanted her comfy cozy old crate back. I have found that it's more secure to her than having all that extra room. Belle has a pillow, 3 blankies and her papa bear in her crate at all times unless she decides she needs to drag her favorite blankie around for awhile. So, I just stuff her in there and night and she is totally happy. It all comes down to them feeling secure. Hope that helps a little.
