Well.. to start off with about a year ago I asked my landlord if I could adopt a cat from the animal shelter. It was an immediete NO so I was a little sad about the entire thing. I am single and I wanted a pet so badly. Living on your own gets SUPER lonely and I just wanted something to come home to besides my empty apartment.

Well since I was about 19 I saw a little yorkie puppy and fell in love. I thought to myself someday I will get one. For the next 6 ys. I had many friends who all had there little yorkie, except me. So this February I couldn't get the thought out of my head. I wanted and needed a friend so badly and I would sit for hours on my computer looking up puppies and pet supplies, food options, watching youtube videos of yorkies, hoping someday my dream would come true.

About the end of March I became Yorkie Obsessed. All I could do was talk about yorkies. I even dreamed about them. My problem was my living situation, if I couldn't have a cat, how in the HECK would they let me have a dog?... Needless to say, I was scared to death to ask and I didn't want my dream to be crushed. Well about 2 weeks later it became evident to me that if I didn't ask I truly would never know if I could have one. So I decided to try and make a deal and I typed up a "pet proposal". I typed up facts about yorkies, along with offering a 200 pet deposit and an additional 25 dollar pet rent monthly.

Well the next morning after I dropped it off, my landlord called me and told me YES.. of course I started to cry! I was soooo happy! 3 days later I drove 3 hours to meet my new girl. There was 3 in the litter 1 boy and 2 girls but the boy was already gone when I got there so I got to choose between the 2 girls. The minute is saw Taycie I knew she was mine! Her sister was adorable but Taycie was quite and shy. My heart reached out to her because I am the same way. My friend drove with me and actually held Taycie first. The entire time I kept looking at her thinking she is it I KNOW IT!

So that is how I got little miss Taycie.. and the the best part of this story. My landlord has a yorkie puppy now too... named Tuff! How funny is that?!
