I think he is advising to just buy puppies. He says in his opinion they form a stronger bond that way. Sheesh. Our shepard's bond with us is just as strong as Gus'. Others here have written about older rescues having an almost grateful attitude. Mine did. We think she was abused because for the longest time she would cower if you moved too fast. Being able to show her she was safe and loved was the best feeling in the world.
I can't disagree, getting a puppy is wonderful but it is a shame that some people think you can't get a terrific older dog. |
