Bella Keeps Warm! Hi,
Bella wears a sweater when we are cold in the house. We figure if we are cold, she certainly is.
I wash them every other day because she wears them outdoors on 2 daily walks. Use woolite and do it by hand in the sink. Easy.
The best thing we ever did for her was buy a plastic disc you heat in the microwave. It comes with 2 soft fleece covers. We put it in her crate to warm it up before we put her to bed. When we put her to bed we put it outside the end she cuddles in at night. It radiates heat for 7 hours. We also cover her crate with a quilt. We are in a lakehome in western NY right now so it's getting pretty chilly at night. We also have a heating pad under her crate on the outside set on low to add to her coziness. It's funny, but if she's cold she wants her sweater on and readily puts her head down to have us put it on. If she shows no interest in it, we figure she's okay.
She's a tiny so she shivers easily. I bought some really nice, warm jackets at Kwiggy Bow on sale. Got them last year for $10.00 and they are heavy.
I always look for clothes that cover her underbelly for cold weather.
There are alot of people on YT that sew for very reasonable prices. I'm sure people will post some on this thread.
Good luck and stay warm! |
