I had a regular brush but was not having any luck with them keeping mouth open to use it. I bought the finger brushes, you just slip on over your index finger and brush away. It works best for me, but does not have as long of bristles to get between teeth as good as a regular brush. Sort of a toss up. I try to give mine lots to chew and only use the dry dog food. Still I had one of mine with bad teeth. They all get the same food and treatment and all of mine had good tetth but one, so I think some yorkies are just more prone to teeth problems. Genetics? I am thinking of going to the Spray that helps prevent tartar to see if that helps.
