Mine don't get it. Last I heard other types of ticks may now be carriers, and I believe the vaccine is only good for 6 months.

If you do decide to get it, get it separately, not on the same day as the DHPP or Rabies. I separate them also by 4 weeks. The vaccines do a better job and the dogs seem to handle them better. I generally don't vaccinate for anything that can be easily treated, or any vaccines that are 'new' on the market... like Giardia, the Dental vaccine, the Flu Vaccine for dogs, Lepto: new on the market or the old one is known for causing reactions in small breed dogs, and no Corona, no Kennel cough (Bordatella).
