All three of mine get Lyme shots and I've never had any problems at all. If you are of concern, get a benedryl shot first. I do that with one of my Biewers cause he tends to react slightly (lethargy, tenderness at the shot area) more than my other two.
We go in, the tech gives him a benedryl shot. We wait 15 mins then we get the lyme shot.
