Typically a groomer can "brush" a Yorkie's teeth, but won't be able to do a full dental cleaning. Most vets put dog's under anesthsia to do this and that requires a DVM in most states.

There are some places in California, Florida, and Georgia that have a dental cleaning process without anesthsia and they have a method of testing or working with your animal to see if they are a candidate. I wish we had those here in Indy, but so far we haven't found any.

We do a full dental once a year and brush 3 times a week.
