Hmmm...yeah, I see your point. I suppose it would be entirely possible for that to happen if you don't know any better. I guess it just depends on the person--I myself would never just take someone's word for it...especially when it's a situation where they have everything to gain. I guess I'm just not that trusting by nature. I kind of equate it to buying a used car and just taking the seller's word for it that there's nothing wrong with it and never bothering to have it checked by a mechanic.
