We had a similar problem when we bought our home. We lived in an apartment and they did not allow dogs. We were supposed to be in our new home the next day and we had gone to the kennel to pick up our new dogs (Basset Hounds) and when we came back we got a call saying that we could not get into the house for another three weeks. My cousin said we could stay at the her house but the dogs had to stay outside. It was winter and although they were big they were only puppies and they had never been outside. We had a choice either stay at the apartment and try to conceal the dogs for three weeks or stay at my cousin and keep the dogs outside which we would never do. We had to pool our money and put them in to be boarded. Thank goodness they had their shots and we were able to get them into a boarding facility. I know I would never leave them outside no matter what I had to do. |
