I have always forced pups to rotate which teat they feed from. They always seem to immediately go for the lower ones, so I have to force them and work with them to get them to feed from the higher ones. Also, several times per day, I lay a warm wash cloth across mom's tummy--I was told once that this helps prevent it and helps to bring the milk down. (I'm not sure how much of a difference it makes, but what's it hurt to give it a shot, ya know?) |
