Baby gates aren't bad either. I use two panels from his retired xpen to block off the kitchen when we're asleep or not home. He's on a diet (he was 1.7 lbs overweight, really aggravating his LP's) so he gets hungry and wants to wander in the kitchen for food. So, the panels went up, and he respects the boundaries for the most part.
