It's good news! The EKG and the Echo were both NORMAL.
Chelsea's heartrate was slower than he would've expected at under 90 bpm, but he said the range of normal heartrates was based on numerous dogs and that Chelsea may just be one of those who operates normally at a lower than normal rate.
Dr. Hodges showed me how to check Chelsea's pulse and I'm to keep track of it for the next few weeks. If anything at all comes up, he wants her right back in - otherwise he thinks she's good to go. He did agree that she has a mild heart murmur but he said that doesn't give him any concerns at all right now.
If something does come up, he'll put her on a Holter monitor next. He also mentioned doing an Atropine reaction test. And......he said that it's possible that GI issues could be causing pressure on the heart creating her symptoms but that's not high up on his possiblities. Basically, he told me to take her home and let her play and just enjoy her. Which is exactly what I'm gonna do.
