Hi there. I also have a Dudley. lol!! 4lbs. of a little tornado. We also have schnauzers and after losing Mandy, my precious little girl, I felt like I was dying too. We decided to go ahead and get another schnauzer not to replace Mandy but I knew it would help too the others (dogs do grieve) and us too. My doctor bought their schnauzer from a vet that raises and shows them and they suggested I give him a call. At the time he only had 1 female and she was 5mo. old. He had planned on showing her but told me after talking to him awhile to come see her. I did and bought her and have never regreted it. I had always had puppies from the time they were babies but she had already been housebroke. Yessssss. Wonderful. She has just been a joy and a blessing. So don't feel because of the age it might be the wrong thing. It might really turn out to be great like with Lexi. She is 2 now and daddy's biggest fan. Hope you make the right choice. |
