In actuality co-ownership is the norm with every dog leaving a breeder/exhibitor's premises. There have been many of instances where people have been dealing and are friends with another exhibitor, trust is built and boom a breach of trust is made. Contracts have become much stricter, maintaining control of offspring for 2 or 3 generations.
