I would like to add that if they do sell breeding contracts, the first dog to this person is a co-op buy. My breeder has told me that if I ever wanted to get into breeding (I want to breed yorkies that are made for agility not only confirmation cause that's my passion) that she would never outright sell me my first dog to breed. It would be a co-ownership and she would have final approval of what I do with it. That way I can learn the ropes together and not hurt the dogs or breed a bad mix.
She has always said that she would love to help me, and of course she also said she wouldn't just sell a breeding dog to anyone.
That showed me that she cares about who does what with the breed.
