First and foremost, this forum is amazing. I have been lurking around for hours. I would greatly appreciate any insight and advice.

I am a huge dog lover. I grew up with dogs and have wanted one of my own since leaving for college. I am now in my second year of law school and have a really flexible next semester (only classes two days a week). I want to get a yorkie in December after finals. I will have two weeks with my pup and then school. But my dilemma is the summer. I was offered a summer job from May to August working full time. Taking account of my commute, I may be gone for as long as 11 hours. I have roommates that won't be gone as long as me. I would of course make my puppy comfortable. And my schedule will be fine again in the fall. What do you think? Is that too selfish of me? Thank you in advance for your help!
