Oh, I could never imagine keeping my guys inside! Granted, when they are outside, they are always on leash and supervised, but going outside is the best part of their day.

Alex has severe allergies (I've posted a lot about this in the Health forum). He is currently on allergy shots to desensitize him and also started taking Atopica to help control his allergies while we wait for the shots to kick in. It's work, but so worth it, especially now that the Atopica is working and he's allergy free!! I will admit that soon after I got him, his allergies were so bad, I did feel bad taking him out. Grass is one of his triggers and he would itch LIKE CRAZY after being outside.

One thing that really helped was doing aggressive skin management. After each walk, I would rinse him off with water, and that definitely helped (although it didn't solve the issue completely). We've only been doing Atopica for a week now, and from what we've experienced thus far, I would highly recommend it, even if it's just a short-term option to get through a bad season.
