Ditto! We have bells, too, and they are a blessing. We never had any accidents after 6 months of age and still don't. If you have an x-pen to put your little one in when you cannot be watching, that will help a lot. Just take your yorkie out at least every two hours and use one phrase every single time, like "Go potty," and they soon understand. You will also want to take outside about 20 minutes after eating. After they go, make a really big deal out of it and say, "Good girl!" You can use a little treat like a cheerio even.

If you want to use bells, you can just hang some big bells on the door on a long ribbon. They go thru a stage of ringing them all of the time, but eventually understand and use them correctly. Just start out by taking her foot or nose to ring them and ask her if she wants to go potty . They eventually ring them with their nose. I used my yorkie's foot to start her off with. Didn't want to scare her by pushing her nose into it. Good luck!
