As stated above and on the AKC website. You show to gain approval of your breeding stock. Exhibiting is not to rack up the # of champions you can get. It's to insure your dog meets the standard, prior to breeding. However, as an exhibitor/breeder one must delve deeper and be honest with one's self. Only take the healthiest and the best representation into the ring.
